Disability management in the workplace

Disability management, within the context of employment, refers to a branch of expertise that has focused on how businesses manage disability overall throughout the workplace, including issues such as preventing disability, returning to work following an injury or sickness, providing appropriate accommodations in the workplace, and cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analyses of management services.

A major focus of disability management is the study of workplace bias against disabled persons. Workplace prejudice can have a detrimental influence on disabled people and the disability community, as well as employers who may be sued for unequal treatment between disabled and non-disabled individuals.

Disability management, as the term implies, is concerned with the management of individuals with disabilities. Organizational health, or how disability affects costs, benefits, and productivity on an organizational level, is also addressed by this field.

Online Training Program Overview: Certificate in Disability Management
