This Lean Six Sigma Methodology course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary in order to effectively apply the Lean Six Sigma methodology within their organization.
The course will cover topics such as:
Introduction to Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and its concepts: In this module, participants will get an introduction to the Lean Six Sigma methodology and its concepts. This will include discussing the different belts/levels, the DMAIC process, problem solving tools (Fishbone diagrams, Pareto Charts, etc.), and other relevant topics.
Overview of the DMAIC Process: This module will focus on introducing participants to the steps of the DMAIC process (defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling) as well as discussing tools used to effectively manage the improvement process.
The Lean Six Sigma Toolbox: This module will provide participants with an overview of the different tools and techniques used in LSS such as A3 Problem Solving, 5S, Kaizen Events, and other Lean methodologies.
Techniques for Identifying and Reducing Waste: This module will focus on the different techniques available to help identify process waste and then reduce it via the implementation of countermeasures.
Data Collection and Analysis for Process Improvement: This module will discuss the importance of data collection in order to effectively measure process performance. It will also discuss the role of data analysis in understanding trends and root causes.
Root Cause Analysis to Identify Causes of Defects: This module will discuss different techniques available for root cause analysis such as FMEA, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa Diagrams. It will also discuss how these techniques can help to identify problems and develop solutions.
Utilizing Problem Solving Tools: This module will focus on the different problem solving tools used in Lean Six Sigma such as Fishbone diagrams, Pareto Charts, Brainstorming, and others.
Developing Solutions to Process Problems via Process Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen Events: This module will discuss the different tools available for developing solutions to process problems in Lean Six Sigma such as Process Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events. It will also cover the role of a facilitator in leading improvement activities.
The course will also include a brief overview of Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to apply the Lean Six Sigma Methodology in their workplace with confidence. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the instructor.
This course is suitable for anyone with a basic understanding of management principles and practices, including those who are in a supervisory or managerial role. Participants should also have some experience in problem solving techniques. No prior certification in Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma is required.
