The topics of our Preventing Discrimination and Harassment programs include unlawful discrimination and harassment in the workplace. It teaches workers what they need to do to prevent or reduce occurrences of employee discrimination and abuse at work, including bullying.

Harassment and discrimination in the workplace have a variety of negative consequences, ranging from decreased employee performance to diversion of resources away from the organization’s core operations.

The types of workplace behaviours that are unlawful in a variety of countries are addressed by these courses. They describe what employees should do to prevent or minimize incidents of workplace discrimination and harassment.

Learning objectives:

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

-Define discrimination and harassment

-Understand the different types of discrimination and harassment that can occur in the workplace

-Identify strategies to prevent or reduce incidents of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.

One important way to prevent these problems from happening is to create and enforce a code of conduct or ethics that forbids discriminatory and harassing behaviour, and appropriately holds employees accountable for misconduct.

Course participants will be able to:

-Create a code of conduct or ethical standard for their workplace.

-Understand the elements that should be included in such a code/standard

This course looks at discrimination and harassment from a legal perspective and provides participants with the tools they need to identify, prevent, and deal with such incidents.
